Favorite Food - I’m not picky, but probably Mexican food, or cheese.

Favorite Past Time - spending time with friends and family.

Favorite Exercise - Honestly, most all of them, except running.

A little blurb about Jamie....

I grew up in Ann Arbor, MI and went to college at the University of Michigan. I moved to New York on a whim to live with a friend, not thinking I would be here very long, and now it has been 20 years!

I have done a lot of different things over the years: retail, TV production, publishing, and grad school. I taught English in the public schools for 8 years and now work in fundraising and event production.

My husband is also a former teacher (now a firefighter because what else do you do with that mustache?!?!) and we met when he came to work at my school in East Harlem. After a few happy hours and shared commutes home to the Upper West Side, we got married in 2008, moved to the Bronx, and now have two kids: George, 7, and Evin, 3.

I have always been and athlete and truly enjoy exercising. Grassroots obviously fills me up in that respect but as anyone who has been around for a few years knows, GRFP is so much more than just a place to exercise. Grassroots has introduced me to lifelong friends and provided me a place to eat, drink, laugh, disco, pole dance, celebrate, cry when necessary, and be surrounded by love.
